CAIRO — Prime Minister Dr Mostafa Madbouly said that preparations are under way for the convocation of an Egyptian-British investment conference as part of the state’s efforts to attract foreign investments and in light of the good relations between the two countries.
This came during a meeting held by Madbouly to discuss arrangements for organizing the Egyptian-British investment conference, in the presence of Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty, Hassan Al-Khatib, the Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, and Ambassador Wael Hamed, the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for European Affairs.
Abdelatty said that efforts are being exerted to invest in the good relations between the two countries so as to pump new investments into the Egyptian economy, noting that the proposed event was discussed with officials in the United Kingdom, who welcomed it.
Organizing the Egyptian-British investment conference comes within the framework of building on the success achieved during the investment conference which was held between Egypt and the European Union in June, he said.
The investment minister confirmed that coordination will be made with all parties concerned on the various files related to this conference, adding that major companies will be targeted to pump new British investments into the Egyptian market.
