The Cabinet’s media centre denied rumors on issuing a decision to get fees of Ummrah programmes and trips in dollars.
The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities said that the news is groundless, the media center said in a statement on Saturday.
The regulations and measures regulating Ummrah trips obliged travel agencies to get the fees in Egyptian pounds, the statement said.
The ministry warned the citizens from dealing with any illegal entities and reserve Ummrah trips via licensed travel agencies, it added.
The media centre urged media means to be precise about the news they publish.
