Egypt’s Social Solidarity Minister Maya Morsi had a meeting with Sean Jones, director of the mission of the US Agency for International Development (USAID) in Egypt, at the ministry’s premises.
They discussed means to cement co-operation on programs of economic and social empowerment of women in partnership with the agency.
Both sides also reviewed efforts aiming to limit the social and economic impacts of anti-women violence.
The USAID director extended thanks to the Social Solidarity Ministry over its great efforts to support women, voicing keenness to have further bilateral cooperation in the coming period.
