During her visit, Fouad is set to take part in a session on the IUCN strategic vision and its financial plan for 20 years ahead.

Speaking in pre-departure statements, the minister said the session will focus on means to solve the growing problems of biodiversity and climate change through an approach that is based on global cooperation to protect the environmental systems and enhance sustainable practices.

Fouad will review challenges facing Egypt in the implementation of environmental policies and the methods adopted by her Ministry to improve that. She will also touch upon the role played by the civil society and environment projects to help achieve sustainable development in line with the IUCN’s vision 2030.

Organized by the National Center for Wildlife Development, the forum will bring together more than 200 experts and specialists.

This quadrennial gathering is a platform for participants to collaborate, share insights and tackle pressing environmental challenges. It offers an opportunity for them to exchange ideas, discuss common ecological issues, and craft effective strategies for nature preservation.
