EgyptAir, the national carrier of Egypt, has been named the Best Promising African Airline at the prestigious India Travel Awards 2024.

The awards ceremony was held at the Sofitel BKC Hotel in Mumbai, where over 15,000 people participated in the voting process, ensuring transparency and fairness in selecting the winners.

A panel of judges evaluated and selected the most deserving individuals and organisations for the awards.

The accolade highlights EgyptAir’s significant progress in expanding its route network, improving its services both on board and at airports, and enhancing the passenger experience.

The event celebrated a range of distinguished figures in the tourism and travel industry who have made notable contributions and played key roles in transforming India’s travel landscape.

Among the attendees were Dina Shaker, Egypt’s Deputy Consul in Mumbai, Ashok Rawat, EgyptAir’s agent in India, Walid Abdel Rahim, EgyptAir’s Finance Manager in Mumbai, and Rasha Abdel Monem, EgyptAir’s Regional Manager in Mumbai.

The India Travel Awards is a prestigious platform recognising outstanding achievements in the travel industry. EgyptAir currently operates nine weekly flights to India, with four flights to New Delhi and five to Mumbai.
