NEW ALAMEIN – Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhi launched a cycling marathon in New Alamein City as part of the activities of Alamein Festival.
As many as 1,000 cyclists from the national cycling team participated in the event.
In press statements on Thursday, Sobhi asserted the importance of this event in enhancing the culture of practicing sports among the youth.
He said that New Alamein City has become a perfect place for hosting such major event as its binds between sports and tourism.
Sobhy asserted the keenness of his ministry to hold sports events in tourist places to attract more people and raise awareness on the importance of public health.
