Minister of Civil Aviation, Sameh El-Hafny, conducted a comprehensive inspection of the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority on Tuesday  to assess progress of ongoing projects, aimed at improving Egypt’s civil aviation system.

Minister El-Hafny toured various departments within the Authority, including those responsible for air operations, aircraft and equipment standards, and airport safety.

He examined the training simulator for air traffic controllers, stressing the need for a timely upgrade of the analog radar system to meet modern operational requirements.

The minister also visited the Operations and Crisis Management Center, where he stressed the importance of enhancing its efficiency to effectively handle any emergencies that may arise.

Moreover, he stressed the need for continuous monitoring and evaluation of safety and quality standards for all airlines operating in Egypt, citing the Authority’s crucial role in ensuring compliance with international aviation regulations.
