`New Alamein City integrated city operating all year round`
Egypt’s Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli handed over a number of housing units in New Alamein Towers projects, including Sakan Misr, Mazarine, Latin District and Down Town.
Madbouli and Housing Minister Sherif el Sherbini were keen on handing over the residential units in “City Edge” project and Sakan Misr to a number of citizens.
Also, units in Mazarine project were handed over to a number of citizens and the Saudi company.
Housing Minister Sherif el Sherbini delivered a speech at the beginning of the ceremony.
Sherbini said that this city is a top priority for the Egyptian state, especially the Housing Ministry.
The government sought to develop Alamein City to be one of the most important cities attracting major investments, he said.
Madbouli said New Alamein city is a testament to the value of hard work, adding that it showed that Egyptians are capable of realizing achievements and that this is not just a slogan, but a reality that has been proved over the past period.
New Alamein is an integrated city operating throughout the year, he told a ceremony held Saturday to hand over housing units there.
Madblouli said housing projects in the city are meant to cater for different housing needs.
Madbouli apologized for delays in delivery over the economic circumstances that faced the world and Egypt as well, referring to the difficulty in receiving electromechanical equipment during the time of the coronavirus pandemic.
This was followed by the economic crisis and hard currency availability problems that delayed the handing over of the housing units, he went on to say.
He expounded that the New Alamein City was a desert area full with landmines of the World War II before President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s inauguration of the city in 2018.
It has now been transformed into a vibrant city that includes industrial zones, educational and health services, and residential areas, he said.
Madbouli said the city will be linked to the regional and national transport network through a high-speed train station, noting that a nearby airport will serve the city, thus ensuring that it becomes a global tourism destination.
