According to the Presidency Spokesman, President Sisi received a letter from Eritrean President Isaias Afwerki, in which he expressed appreciation for President Sisi the strong relations between the two countries.

The Eritrean president said he looked forward to enhancing consultation and coordination on issues of mutual interest.

The meeting also covered regional issues, with a focus on the security threats in the Horn of Africa and the Red Sea. Both sides stressed the importance of continued joint coordination and consultation at various levels to support stability and security in the region.
