ALEXANDRIA – The government offers different forms of possible backing for serious investors in the field of industry, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli said.
The government also works on encouraging new expansions and removing any obstacles that may stand in the path of investors to carry out such expansions, he said.
The premier made his remarks during an expanded inspection tour of a number of factories in Alexandria city on Saturday.
He was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Transport and Industry Kamel el Wazir and Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan el Khatib along with Alexandria Governor Ahmed Khaled Hassan Said and several senior officials.
The premier started his tour with visiting the factories of Egyptian German Porcelain Company, where he was received by Chairman Sayed Fathy Mahmoud.
Mahmoud said the company is the biggest factory for manufacturing porcelain cutlery sets in the Middle East with $100 million investments.
The factory is also one of the largest factories in Africa, Europe and the Middle East with production capacity of 30,000 tons a year, amounting to 85 million pieces a year, Mahmoud added.
The premier inspected the production lines in the factory, lauding the use of the state-of-the-art technologies.
Madbouli also talked with a number of the factory’s workers to check the work progress.
