CAIRO – Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan el Khatib commended the key role of industrial developers in upgrading industrial zones and providing industrial lands equipped with utilities in different sectors.
Khatib made the comments during his meeting with a delegation of Polaris Parks, in the presence of the company’s chairman Tunc Ozkan and general manager Bassel Shoirah.
Khatib said Polaris Parks, the industrial land development company with operations in the MENA region, successfully executed investments of USD 4.5 billion, which contributed to offering 65,000 job opportunities.
The minister added the company plans to invest USD 120 million in a development project spanning 2.6 million m2 in New October City, in collaboration with the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA).
The minister noted that many Egyptian and foreign companies that own some of the largest international commercial brands, are working within Polaris Parks.
ElKhatib stated that the meeting took up ways of strengthening cooperation between the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade and the company, including organizing a promotional visit to Turkey in September on the sidelines of the Egyptian-Turkish Business Council meeting to attract more Turkish investments to the Egyptian market.
“The company was established in 2007 and has an investment portfolio that includes 12 projects spanning over seven million m2 in the cities of 10th of Ramadan, 6th of October, and Sadat,” said Tunc Ozkan.
