CAIRO – Sixteen air-conditioned passengers locomotives arrived at Alexandria port from Hungary, Minister of Industry and Transport Kamel el-Wazir said on Thursday.
In a statement, Wazir said that this comes within the framework of an agreement between the Ministry of Transport and the Hungarian firm of Ganz Holding to manufacture and supply the rest of a locomotive deal including 1350 locomotives, adding that 962 locomotives were received until now.
The deal is one of the huge deals reached at the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to develop the railway sector, Wazir said.
