Egypt’s Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli highlighted on Tuesday the significant importance of cybersecurity systems and stressed the necessity of drawing lessons form the recent global crisis caused by technical disruptions, which led to extensive losses in various sectors worldwide, with a minimal impact on Egypt.
Madbouli made these remarks during the cabinet meeting to follow up on the cybersecurity systems and precautionary measures, in the presence of key officials including Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat and CEO of the National Telecom Regulatory Authority Mohamed Shamroukh, along with officials from relevant ministries.
Minister Talaat reviewed during the meeting the details of the cyber crisis which happened Friday as reviwed a report on the global technical disruptions that caused widespread disturbances across various sectors and their impact on Egypt.
Shamroukh, for his part, reviewed the efforts exerted by the national center for cybersecurity to deal with any cyber problem.
