CAIRO – Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development Affairs and Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar discussed with US ambassador in Cairo Herro Mustafa Garg cooperation mechanisms in the health and human development domains as well as ways of devising future plans for benefit of Egyptians.
Both sides discussed how to provide all ways of universal healthcare for Egyptians in accordance with achieving Egypt Vision 2030.
During the meeting, the two sides commended fruitful cooperative efforts and said they are looking forward to expanding implementation of joint plans to attain health and social welfare for all citizens.
Spokesman for the Health and Population Ministry Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said the meeting discussed mechanisms for fulfilling the human development plan in the coming period.
The spokesman added the meeting also probed means of boosting cooperation in localizing and transferring technology of pharmaceutical industry to achieve self-sufficiency in this sector.
He said the Egyptian State has a wide-scale vision to become a pioneering hub for medical industries.
Abdel Ghaffar pointed out the minister underlined the importance of capitalizing on experiences in this file.
