ASWAN, Egypt – Egypt is implementing a full-fledged plan to support transport industry locally in line with the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, said Minister of Transport Kamel el-Wazir Tuesday.
During a tour to inspect railway projects in Aswan, the minister pointed out that eight factories producing spare parts for transport means are being established in co-operation with major world companies and local firms specialised in the transport sector.
During the tour, the minister also inspected renovation process in Aswan railways workshops that carry out renovation works on carriages and locomotives.
The minister stressed that trains should not leave the workshops unless they come under full technical maintenance operations.
