CAIRO – Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli affirmed Egypt’s full support for Somalia in light of close historical relations between the two sides.
Meeting with Somali Ambassador in Cairo Elias Sheikh Omar Abu Bakr, the premier emphasized the importance of achieving security, stability, and peace in Somalia as a fundamental pillar for achieving security and stability in the region as a whole.
The meeting was held at the Cabinet HQs in the New Administrative Capital.
Abubakar expressed his pride in his term as ambassador for his country in Egypt.
He praised Cairo’s active role in support of Mogadishu, especially given the political and security challenges it faces, which require the support of Arab nations, especially Egypt.
