PARMA – Egypt’s Mayar Sherif, the No 8 seed, beat Russian Kamilla Rakhimova 6-3, 7-5 to reach the last four of the WTA Parma Ladies Open presented by Iren.
Sherif, ranked No 80, will play Mexican Renata Zarazua on hard court in the semifinals at the WTA Parma Ladies Open event in Parma Women’s Singles.
Ahead of her victory, the Egyptian won against Italian qualifier Martina Colmegna (6-2, 7-5) and Swiss qualifier Susan Bandecchi (6-3, 7-5).
Rakhimova, ranked No 98, defeated Italian Martina Trevisan (6-2, 6-4) and Australian Daria Saville (6-4, 7-5) in the previous rounds.
