Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi is the first Egyptian leader to witness the opening of an equestrian competition, said head of the jury of the first edition of the Arab Military Equestrian Championship Mohamed El-Sherbiny.
In statements to MENA on Thursday, Sherbiny; a prominent equestrian coach, said President Sisi pays great and unprecedented attention to all sports in general and equestrian in particular.
He stated the Equestrian Club in the Olympic Games City in the New Administrative Capital (NAC) is fully equipped to host international and Olympic equestrian competitions in the future.
The competition, which runs from April 24 till 24, is attended by 11 Arab states:(Egypt – Libya – Qatar – Algeria – Kuwait – Tunisia – Syria – Iraq – Saudi Arabia – Jordan – the UAE).
