Egyptian Finance Minister Mohamed Maeet said funds allocated for salaries in the new 2024/2025 fiscal year will be increased to 573 billion pounds against 470 billion pounds in the previous budget.

He said the increase came after the new financial package that was announced by the State in March.

He reiterated commitment to continue steps initiated in 2019/2020 budget to improve salaries of state employees and alleviate burdens on them.
