The Director General of the UN Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) Qu Dongyu visited Egypt on Thursday for co-operation talks with the Prime Minister and the Minister of Agriculture Minister, Egypt’s Ambassador to Italy Bassam Radi said.
Discussions focused on farming production and food security with reference to land reclamation projects in New Delta, Sinai, Sharq Oweinat and Toshka as well as the national greenhouses project.
Radi, who is also permanent representative for the UN in Rome, said Dr Qu will be touring these projects during his visit and sign an agreement with the government on food security.
