Environment Minister Yasmine Fouad has voiced keenness to establish strong alliances between the UAE’s BEEAH Group and Egyptian private sector companies in the fields of recycling and waste management.

The minister’s remarks came on Thursday at a videoconferencing meeting held with Khaled Al Huraimel, Vice-Chairman and Group CEO of BEEAH Group, and Fahad Shehail, Group Chief Operating Officer of BEEAH Group, to probe means to cement current and future cooperation and open new opportunities for further partnerships and investments between the group and the private sector in the presence of respective officials.

The minister pointed out that such steps are part of efforts to strengthen strategic cooperation between Egypt and the UAE in different fields, particularly in the domain of environmental and climate investments.

Fouad reiterated that she is keen to cement cooperation with BEEAH Group and share its experience on carrying out several projects in Egypt, citing the inking of a partnership deal between the group and the Administrative Capital for Urban Development Company to recycle waste with future investments.

For his part, Al Huraimel expressed keenness to establish further partnerships in Egypt and share the group’s technological experience to upgrade the waste management system in Egypt.

BEEAH Group offers pioneering sustainable and smart solutions across industries and enables communities, companies and cities to be ready for tomorrow’s economy, from the UAE to KSA, Egypt and across the Middle East.

BEEAH Group, whose journey as the Middle East’s sustainability pioneer began in 2007, is driven to secure a sustainable future for all.

By leveraging experience across future-critical sectors and modern, scalable technologies, BEEAH Group is advancing sustainability agendas for companies, cities and governments.
