Israeli occupation forces free two hostages from captivity in Gaza

GAZA CITY – Israeli occupation forces managed last night to free two hostages held in Gaza.

The two, Louis Norberto Har, 70, and Fernando Marman, 60, were kidnapped from Kibbutz Nir Yitzhak on October 7 and were held in an apartment in Rafah, said the army in a statement on Monday.

The Palestinian Red Crescent reported that at least 60 people were killed overnight in Rafah and about 120 were injured, including women and children.

The organisation added that the number of casualties is expected to rise because many are under the rubble and have not yet been rescued. Hamas said a hundred civilians were killed in the Israeli army operation.
