Palestinian foreign ministry slams Ben-Gvir's statements on genocide 9 - Egyptian Gazette

RAMALLAH – The Palestinian Foreign Ministry has condemned statements by Israel’s far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir in which he incited more genocide of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

The ministry described the Israeli hardline minister’s statements as a challenge to the international community and the international Court of Justice.

Ben-Gvir challenges the international consensus on protecting civilians and securing their needs, and calls for the completion of the #genocide and #forced_displacement of our people, the ministry said on X formerly Twitter.

The Ministry called for imposing deterrent #international_sanctions on Ben-Gvir, considering him a direct threat to the security and stability of the region.

In statements to Wall Street Journal, Ben-Gvir slammed the administration of US President Joe Biden, claiming his expected challenger in the 2024 election would handle the war in Gaza “differently,” statements met with criticism by senior Israeli politicians.

In an interview with the Wall Street Journal that was published Sunday, the far-right minister stated that “Instead of giving us his full backing, Biden is busy with giving humanitarian aid and fuel” to the Gaza Strip, which according to Ben-Gvir “goes to Hamas.”

Ben-Gvir further stated that if Donald Trump was in the White House and not Biden, the “US conduct would be completely different.”

Earlier this month, Ben-Gvir spoke with Israel’s Kan public radio and spoke about mass emigration of Palestinians from Gaza and rebuilding of Israeli settlements.
