Egypt’s Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli opened on Wednesday the 55th edition of Cairo International Book Fair 2024 at Egypt Center for International Exhibitions and Conferences, in the Fifth Settlement.
The premier is accompanied by Culture Minister Nivine Kilani and a number of other ministers.
About 1,200 Arab and foreign publishers take part in this year’s fair.
Norway is the guest of honor of the fair which is held from January 25 to February 5.
Egyptologist Selim Hassan was selected as the fair’s character and writer Yacoub Sharoni as the character of child book fair.
