CAIRO – The Ministry of Trade and Industry has signed a cooperation agreement with the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) on scientific exchange and training between bodies affiliating the ministry and colleges of the academy.
The protocol was signed by Minister of Trade and Industry Ahmed Samir and President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport Ismail Abdel Ghafar.
The two-year long protocol is an outcome of the fruitful cooperation between the Trade Ministry and the AASTMT, said minister Samir, adding that the ministry will provide annual training for students of the academy in various domains to give them first hand information about the industry.
Under the agreement, the ASSTMT will contribute to building the human capacity of the Trade ministry along with providing further services for the industrial sector, in order to enhance the local industry, ASSTMT president said.
