Abu Zeid added the summit convenes this year under the title “deepening cooperation for the sake of joint, global welfare.”

More than 120 countries will participate in the summit, he said.

The spokesman added Egypt is paying a greater attention to NAM for the country is supporting its principles.

NAM has become very important amid growing political, economic and security challenges facing developing states at present, he said.

Abu Zeid said the agenda of the foreign minister includes delivering Egypt’s speech on behalf of the president and holding a number of bilateral meetings with his counterparts from the foreign ministers of member states on joint relations and current regional and international issues and challenges.
