CAIRO- President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on Thursday discussed in a phone call ongoing efforts to reach a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and deliver humanitarian aid to the war-ravaged enclave’s residents, said Presidential Spokesman Ahmed Fahmy.
In this regard, Sisi and King Hamad called on the international community to implement the resolutions of international legitimacy, notably the relevant resolutions of the UN Security Council and the UN General Assembly to immediately end the humanitarian catastrophe afflicting Palestinians.
During the phone conversation, President Sisi congratulated King Hamad on Bahrain’s National Day, wishing the kingdom more progress and prosperity.
The two leaders lauded the steady development in Egyptian-Bahraini relations, stressing the importance of expanding cooperation in different fields.
