CAIRO – The Egyptian Cabinet Media Center has dismissed as groundless reports that citizens had been warned not to go to hospitals if they feel Covid-19 symptoms, and receive medicine at homes through medical teams by the Health ministry.
In a statement Friday, the center said, according to MENA, that it contacted the Ministry of Health and Population, which totally denied these reports, asserting that they are baseless and bare of truth.
The ministry did not entrust medical teams to check Covid-19 patients at homes instead of hospitals, said the statement, adding that it did not issue a circular warning citizens not to go to hospitals if they feel Covid-19 symptoms.
It further urged all media outlets to seek accuracy and objectivity before publishing news, advising them to contact bodies concerned to avoid sparking confusion among the public.
