Health and Population Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar has discussed with Turkish officials means to deliver medical aid to the Gazans.
The minister on Thursday met with Head of Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) Okay Memis, Turkish ambassador to Egypt Salih Mutlu Sen and President of the Turkish Red Crescent Fatma Yilmaz and their accompanying delegation, who paid a visit to Egypt.
Egypt and Turkey have historic ties, the minister said, stressing that both countries work on sending aid to the Palestinian people who suffer a humanitarian disaster.
Both Egypt and Turkey are fully ready for helping the Palestinian people, he reiterated, noting that the Egyptian Health Ministry has developed an emergency plan to deal with the repercussions of the current developments in the Gaza Strip.
The Turkish officials lauded Egypt’s great efforts on helping deliver relief aid to the Palestinian people during the current crisis. (MENA)
