Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi said on Tuesday he looks forward to co-operating and coordinating with the African Union Commission to push forward African action at all levels with a focus on economic integration, regional inclusion, peace and security.
The president’s statements came as he received President of the commission Moussa Faki Mahamat with Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry attending.
Faki is currently on a visit to Cairo to participate in the 14th session of the meeting of African envoys on enhancing peace, security and stability in the continent for two successive days.
Presidential Spokesman Ahmed Fahmi said Faki hailed Egypt’s efforts to achieve political and economic stability in the continent.
The meeting dealt with developments on the African and regional arenas topped the conditions in Africa’s Sahel area, the Horn of Africa and the Sudan military operations.
