CAIRO- Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met on Monday his Greek counterpart Nikos Dendias who arrived to Cairo earlier in the day, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Hafez said.
They discussed ways of pushing forward and developing bilateral cooperation and regional issues of mutual concern, he added.
In earlier statements, Greek Foreign Ministry Spokesman Alexandros Papaioannou said during Dendias’ visit, that reflects the exceptional Greek-Egyptian relationship, the two sides will probe bilateral ties, economic cooperation, collaboration in the energy sector as well as Middle East developments and regional issues of mutual interest, such as Libya.
Dendias’ talks will also focus on the “Friendship Forum” that was held lately in Athens between him and Shoukry and the tripartite meeting that involved Greece, Egypt and Cyprus, the spokesman added.
