KHARTOUM – Sudan’s Army Chief of Staff General Abdel Fattah El Burhan issued a constitutional decree forming the Transitional Sovereignty Council under his chairmanship, the Sudanese TV reported.
The decree included naming General Mohamed Hamadan Daglo as deputy chairman of the transitional council and the membership of 11 others.
The decree postponed appointing a representative for East Sudan till further consultations on him.
Al-Burhan had dissolved Sudan’s transitional government last month and detained civilian leaders in a military takeover.
