The updated strategy should help Egypt to become an integrated development destination, in tourism, economic and service terms

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi called for optimal utilisation of the state’s assets, including lands and coasts, and the preservation of their value as national wealth.

The President’s remarks came during his meeting with Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Khaled Al-Anani, Minister of Housing Assem Al-Gazzar and Presidential Advisor for Urban Planning Major General Amir Sayed Ahmed.

The president also stressed the importance of updating the state’s general strategy for tourism development in such a way that advances tourism projects. The updated strategy should help Egypt to become an integrated development destination, in tourism, economic and service terms, the president said.

He, meanwhile, called for developing work mechanisms to increase the rate of implementation and operation at areas and sites where these tourism projects have yet to be completed in order to achieve development and economic goals.

The president was also briefed Wednesday on the state’s efforts to develop the national strategy for tourism development nationwide, especially on the Red Sea and Mediterranean Sea coasts and the tourist complexes located on this geographical extension, whether integrated or limited projects.
