Are you up for a quick trip? So, let’s visit the Bibliotheca Alexandrina. It is one of the most prominent and famous landmarks of Alexandria. But to be able to have a long tour without getting tired, you have to have a good breakfast.

Enjoy foul which is a stew of cooked fava beans served with vegetable oil, cumin, and optionally with chopped parsley, garlic, onion, lemon juice, chili pepper and other vegetable, herb and spice ingredients. The bibliotheca Alexandrina includes large collections of over 2 million books and international materials.
The library was inaugurated in 2002 in cooperation with the United Nations General Authority as a major expansion project for the ancient Library of Alexandria, and many parts were added to it as it was rebuilt again with beautiful designs. The bibliotheca which has huge glass facades is a tourist and cultural destination for visitors from all over the world.
While having your tour through the many sections of the Bibliotheca, you will see the Internet Archive Center, which contains more than 1000 films and 2000 hours of broadcast for Egyptian and American television. You will also see the Francophone section that is classified as one of the largest Francophone libraries in the world and which includes contents that formed the largest cultural deal in the history of Libraries between Egypt and France
The library has seven large sections, which includes sections of audiovisual materials and a section for blind people, which gives the blind and visually impaired an opportunity to access all library resources and Internet resources. There is also sections for children, youth, microfilm, and the rare books section that enables access to books dating back to the beginning of printing in the world
In the Maps section, you will see more than 7000 maps and 500 atlas and globes brought from different parts of the world. From the roof of the library you will be able to see how huge this library is, you will enjoy the wonderful panoramic view of the city and the Red Sea.
