The development funds, allocated by international development partners for supporting the state’s strategy for developing the education and scientific research, hit $2.36 billion, Egyptian Ministry of International Cooperation said Friday.
These funds cover 36 projects, being implemented in 74 places nationwide, the ministry added according to MENA.
The funds serve the fourth goal of the sustainable development goals, as well as several other targets, which reflect the state’s efforts, aimed at developing the education and scientific research systems.
The funds were provided by a number of Egypt’s development partners, including the EU, the World Bank, Islamic Development Bank, UNCIEF, World Food Program, UNESCO, Japan, China, the Saudi Fund for Development, the US, South Korea, Germany, Canada and Abu Dhabi Fund for Development.
