Promoting tourism in prime Red Sea resorts was the focus of talks between South Sinai Governor Khaled Fouda and Cypriot Ambassador in Cairo Homer Mavrommatis.
The two officials discussed boosting friendship and co-operation ties between the Egyptian and Cypriot peoples as well as attracting tourists to Sharm el-Sheikh and Dahab, South Sinai.
Fouda received the Cypriot envoy, who was visiting the two cities at the invitation from the governor. The two sides also looked into the possibility of a fraternity agreement between Sharm el-Sheikh and a Cypriot city to encourage cultural and tourist exchange.
