Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) Chairman Engineer yahia Zakaria said talks on expanding the Russian industrial zone in the SCZone to include east Port Said and Ein Sokhna were successful.
A SCZone statement issued on Wednesday said that during a successful visit by the SCZone delegation to Moscow, led by the SCZone chairman, the Egyptian and the Russian sides agreed on expanding the scope of work of the Russian industrial zone in the SCZone.
A final agreement on the establishment of a Russian firm to administer the Russian operations in this regard will be signed by the end of the year, it added.Egypt and Russia initially agreed to extend Russia’s work operations in the SCZone following two-day stilted talks on this score, the statement said.
