Thirty-one Egyptian universities are listed on the Times Arab University Rankings 2021.
Zewail City of Science and Technology came in10th at Arab level and first position at national level.
Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST) ranked 11th for the Arab world, followed by Mansoura University in 13th place, while Kafr el-Sheikh University and Suez Canal University came in joint 17th and Alexandria University at 19.
The Times rankings include 125 Arab universities in 14 Arab states.
The methodology behind the Arab University Rankings is based on the same comprehensive and trusted framework as the global table, but some important adjustments have been made and some new metrics have been included to reflect the features of universities in the Arab region.
Sixteen carefully calibrated performance indicators were used to assess the Arab universities.
The performance indicators are grouped into five areas; Teaching (the learning environment); Research (volume, income and reputation); Citations (research influence); Society (knowledge transfer and impact) and International outlook (staff, students and research).
