Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received a phone call from Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer to discuss the latest Palestinian-Israeli developments and efforts that should be exerted at the international and regional levels to contain the situation and put an end to the ongoing violence and the loss of civilian lives it is causing, especially in light of the growing threat to regional security and stability.
President Sisi stressed the need to work for realizing a comprehensive and fair settlement for the Palestinian problem on the basis of the two-state solution, noting that this requires stopping the escalation, preventing the further deterioration of the situation and urging all parties to exercise self-restraint.
