EgyptAir Maintenance and Engineering succeeded in passing the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) inspection for the eighteenth year in a row.
Renewing the accreditation places the company in the ranks of high-level aircraft maintenance companies. It also confirms the quality of its technical components and the level of service provided to its current customers and gives it the confidence of more customers.
The inspection was divided into two parts. The first part relates to the amendment to European legislation issued in 2022, according to which the European Aviation Safety Agency granted until the end of 2024 to aircraft maintenance and overhaul companies to comply with it.
The company succeeded in updating the quality and safety system and successfully passed this review for inspectors to confirm that the company’s work procedures conform with the latest updates to European legislation.
The other part included inspectors checking Hangar 8000 and Hangar 7000, in addition to overhauling mechanical units, overhauling devices, and overhauling aircraft engines.
Some workers were also tested, each in their own field, to ensure familiarity with the technical aspects and the work they are assigned to carry out, and to verify the quality documents accompanying these works.
Yehia Zakaria, Chairman of EgyptAir Holding Company, congratulated the employees of the EgyptAir Maintenance and Technical Works Company for passing the inspection with usual efficiency, expressing his confidence in their continued maintenance of the highest technical level, and stressed that there is more effort awaiting the workers in Egypt to achieve a higher level of ambitions.
For his part, Engineer Walid Al-Khafif, Chairman of EgyptAir Maintenance and Engineering, confirmed that the result of the inspection reflects the confidence of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) in the technical capabilities of the workers and places EgyptAir Maintenance Company in a prominent position among aircraft maintenance and overhaul companies globally with the certificate of the largest accreditation bodies.
He added that Inspection helps the company continue to provide a distinguished level of quality in compliance with the regulating legislation issued by Inspection authorities and technical instructions issued by manufacturers of aircraft, engines and aircraft spare parts, and ensuring that the procedures followed are consistent with them to ensure the elements of safety and quality.
