Sisi statements came during his meeting yesterday with a host of businessmen taking part in the “Haya Karima” (Decent Life) initiative.

Egypt’s assistance to neighbors and brothers:

A military plane carrying tonnes of vital medical equipment and drugs left Cairo yesterday heading for Tunisia – as per directives from the political leadership – to help the Arab country overcome its current severe health crisis.

Egyptian authorities also kept the Rafah border crossing open Thursday to receive wounded and stranded Palestinians and allow humanitarian relief assistance into the Gaza Strip.

On the Arab countries news:

Prince Ali bin Hussein of Jordan was sworn in as King Abdullah II’s deputy yesterday. Jordan state news agency Petra carried the report in breaking news without mentioning further details.

Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Abul-Gheit expressed his great disappointment over the decision of Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri to excuse himself from forming a Lebanese government after the great and appreciated efforts he has made to try to salvage the situation.
