Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces Lt Gen Osama Askar and the visiting Rwandan counterpart Gen Jean Bosco Kazura on Wednesday discussed issues of mutual interest in light of the deep military ties between the two countries.

Lt Gen Askar and Gen Kazura talks came following the concluding session of the second meeting of the Egyptian-Rwandan Military Committee which they chaired.

The bilateral military committee discussed activities and areas of military co-operation and the transfer and exchange of scientific and training expertise between the two sides.

Askar stressed the well-established cooperation ties between the Egyptian Armed Forces and their counterparts in fellow African countries. He said he looks forward for more co-operation and coordination to achieve the common visions that were reached during the meeting with the Rwandan side.

for his part, Gen Kazura emphasised the solid relations between Egypt and Rwanda, and commended Cairo’s support for peace and security across the continent.
