Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Wednesday received Yemen’s Minister of Defence Lieutenant-General Mohsen al-Daer.
Egypt’s Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of Defense and Military Production General Mohamed Zaki attended the meeting.
President reiterated during the meeting Egypt’s support for Yemen, and the efforts to conclude a political solution to the crisis in the country, in a manner that would help the Yemeni people overcome all challenges, and achieve their interests, Presidency Spokesman Ahmed Fahmy said.
This will eventually lead to the restoration of security and stability in Yemen, and will also help it embark on the path of development.
For his part, The Yemeni Defence Minister highly appreciated the historical bilateral ties, and Egypt’s efforts in support of stability in Yemen, Spokesman Fahmy said.
He also voiced hopes for bolstering bilateral cooperation between both countries, in light of Egypt’s pivotal role in promoting Arab solidarity and integration.
