Egypt’s Trade and Industry Minister Ahmed Samir said the volume of trade exchange between Egypt and African markets reached about dlrs 2.117 billion in the first quarter of 2023.
Egypt’s commodity exports to African countries hit dlrs 1.611 billion, while Egypt’s imports stood at dlrs 506 million.
This came in a report which Samir received the General Organization For Export & Import Control on trade exchange between Egypt and African countries in the first quarter of 2023.
Chairman of the General Organization For Export & Import Control Essam Naggar said five major markets that received Egyptian exports included Libya at dlrs 317 million, Sudan at dlrs 226 million, Algeria dlrs 217 million, Morocco dlrs 191 million and Tunisia dlrs 86 million.
