Niger’s Bazoum appointed AU’s industrialisation champion

Niamey, Niger:The Assembly of Heads of State and Government, the African Union’s (AU) supreme policy and decision-making organ, appointed on Friday President of Niger, Mohamed Bazoum, as the African Union’s Champion on Inclusive and Sustainable Industrialisation and Productive Transformation.

‏In this capacity, President Bazoum would work to provide political leadership and awareness, and ensure a follow-up on progress on the industrial development in the continent.

‏This would aim to achieve Africa’s transformation under the African Union Agenda 2063.
