Niamey, Niger:The Assembly of Heads of State and Government, the African Union’s (AU) supreme policy and decision-making organ, appointed on Friday President of Niger, Mohamed Bazoum, as the African Union’s Champion on Inclusive and Sustainable Industrialisation and Productive Transformation.
In this capacity, President Bazoum would work to provide political leadership and awareness, and ensure a follow-up on progress on the industrial development in the continent.
This would aim to achieve Africa’s transformation under the African Union Agenda 2063.
