VIENNA – Egyptian Copts in Austria celebrated Easter for the first time in two years after Vienna eased its Covid-19 restrictions.
The Egyptian Copts greatly appreciated greetings from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on the occasion.
Sisi had extended his happy holiday wishes through the Egyptian Embassy in Vienna.
Ambassador Mohamed el Molla attended Mass marking the event at the “Azraa el Zaytoun” Church in Vienna.
A talking session was then held between the Egyptian diplomat and the priests and Copts in the European country.
During the session Molla also wished Egyptians in Austria a happy Ramadan.
He urged the Egyptian community to act to strengthen relations among themselves and with their homeland.
