CAIRO – Secretary General of Al Azhar’s Islamic Research Academy (AIRA) Nazir Ayyad said that continuing to allow criminal acts by some extremists who burned the Holy Quran reveals historical grudges against Islam’s holy book.
Such actions are only committed by abnormal people who know nothing about civilization and humanity, Ayyad told MENA on Friday.
He added that continuing to allow the burning of the Holy Quran should be dealt with more decisively, calling for more boycotts of all authorities that support this type of extremism.
