CAIRO – Brazilian Minister of Cities Jader Barbalho Filho has praised Egypt’s good organization of the 12th edition of the World Urban Forum (WUF12).
He told MENA on Friday that the event is held in the right time to discuss all efforts to create better cities for better living conditions for people everywhere.
On the fifth and last day, the forum resumed activities on Friday, with participants arriving at Al Manara International Conferences Center.
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi opened the WUF12 on Monday, November 4, under the theme “It All Starts at Home: Local Actions for Sustainable Cities and Communities”.
The forum is organized by the Egyptian government and the United Nations Human Settlements Program (UN-Habitat) to discuss how local actions can accelerate progress toward urban sustainability.
Ministers from many world countries are taking part in the event, as well as representatives of regional and international organizations.
