CAIRO – Assistant Arab League Secretary General for Social Affairs Haifa Abu Ghazaleh underlined the importance of spreading awareness about the dangers of drugs and addiction.
She made the remarks in a statement on Wednesday on the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking which the United Nations marks under the theme of “The evidence is clear: invest in prevention”.
She said the AL general secretariat is collaborating with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime under the regional action framework of Arab countries (2023-2028) aiming at adopting a balanced mechanism for combating drugs.
