CAIRO – The Arab League General Secretariat for social affairs, in co-operation with UNHCR, has launched the Arab Declaration on affiliation and legal identity in the presence of representatives of organisations concerned with legal identity.
Assistant Arab League Secretary General for social affairs Haifaa Abu Ghazala said the launch of the declaration consists with resolutions issued by the 42nd session of the council of the Arab ministers of social affairs.
She said the aim of launching the declaration is to support the protection of women and children and spread awareness among them on identity.
